The House Martins Society

Text and illustrations by Ran Levy-Yamamori

In Many Mediterranean countries, swallows and martins are mostly welcome. They bring happiness early in spring, they fill the air with their happy calls and they feed on huge amounts of mosquitos and other insects.

However, in some villages and cities, people try to get rid of their nest because of the "dirty" look of the muddy nests on the walls and the droppings under the nests.

This book tries to change the mind of people to be kind and hostile to these beautiful and useful birds.

It is telling the story of three friends who decided to stop the habit of washing and destroying the nests.
